KAREN BURKE (KM BURKE)
After almost 30 years as a nurse, I picked up a camera and began photographing the animals in my life—including my own pets, the critters in my backyard, and those at local farms and area zoos. Using self-taught Photoshop skills, I started adding whimsical features to the images I captured.
That bit of whimsy ultimately led to representation for my work. Since 2019, my art has been licensed by several puzzle and art companies world-wide. I’ve also received multiple awards and have been honored to be featured in the print edition of National Geographic.
As co-founder of Puddleby Charities, I’m excited to collaborate with area artists on projects that uplift those who often go unnoticed. I can think of no better way to use my talents to make a difference.
